Hello. Most likely, you're here because you've enrolled in WRTG 213. I'm Christie Hinrichs, your composition instructor this semester. Welcome to the course!
There are 3 things you should do in order to get started:
Step 1: Send me an email from your UA Gmail account (your address should look something like “email@example.com'). The subject line should say “English 213 Student Introduction.' In the body of the email, please identify yourself by your full name and give me some way to remember who you are. If you have already emailed the previous instructor, you should resend the email to me.
Step 2: Download and read the syllabus and course schedule. This is EXTREMELY important, as these lay out what is required of you. You are responsible for all of this information. Make sure you understand the details regarding grades of “Incomplete' as well as what is needed to pass this course. You should also take a look at the pages located beneath the “Getting Started' heading in the menu at the top of the website. Once you feel you understand how this class operates, you can begin your first assignment.
Step 3: Go to Dropbox.com and sign up for an account. Watch the instructional videos and make sure you understand how to use the service. Create a folder with your full name as the title of the folder. (All of your essay assignments for the entire semester will be placed in this folder.) "Share" the folder with me via email. See How to Submit Work for more detailed instructions.
Step 4: Check out the course schedule to see what your assigned to read for this unit, when assignments are due, and to plan ahead for the coming weeks! All homework will be due on Sunday's by midnight.
